How We Care

Centra Construction Group has long been committed to giving back to the community. Centra has been so dedicated to charity, humanitarian work and fundraising over the years that Centra Cares became a registered charity in 2015 to further support their mission.

There are many organizations in need of basic everyday items for distribution to those less fortunate than ourselves. Over the last 5 years Centra has fundraised and donated over $1,00,000 to local charities. Every year our employees nominate charities and causes in need of our support. Centra reaches out to these organizations in many ways including financial donations and supplying and installing windows, doors and siding to those organizations in need. We also put on annual charity golf tournaments where we fundraise for nominated charities and Centra Construction Group matches the funds raised dollar for dollar.

Past Centra Care Initiatives

Nicaragua 2013

Nic1Centra strives to help communities both locally and globally, and in late 2013, a group from Centra went to Diriamba, Nicaragua to help less-fortunate families in need. We volunteered in the small community of Mojica to help repair their local school, donated playground equipment and built a rancho community center.

Last Door Recovery Society

EverybodyLast Door works with both youth and adults, providing long-term treatment and residential in-patient rehab. They provide addiction treatment for alcohol use and substance and drug abuse, as well as help with gambling, food, video game, internet, and nicotine addictions for males all over the Lower Mainland. Last Door also has offices in Calgary, Regina, Toronto, and Seattle, and has been helping those struggling with addiction for nearly 30 years.

Psalm 23 Transition Society

Each year Psalm 23 works with hundreds of people who are either homeless or struggling with addictions. They provide food, supportive housing, counseling, life skills and relapse prevention programs. They also provide assistance in procuring employment, vocational and educational training. Their focus is not only helping our students “get clean” but also “stay clean” and to bridge them back into the community as productive citizens.

“Psalm 23 Transition Society is not government funded and as a non-profit society relies upon community support from individuals, families and wonderful businesses like CENTRA. Thank you CENTRA for helping us Make a Difference ~ One Person at a Time” Marvin Declare, Psalm 23 Founder.
